Seedance 3.0: confirmed vs reported
Confirmed: nothing yet. On November 2, 2026, ByteDance Seed's model list, blog and homepage show no Seedance 3 or 3.0: no project page, no launch post and no API model. The newest video model there is Seedance 2.5, launched on July 31, 2026.
The only official hint about what comes next is at the end of the Seedance 2.5 announcement. ByteDance names three directions: more coherent storytelling, a more intuitive way to generate and edit, and a better grasp of real-world physics. It also says complex motion and scenes where several subjects interact still need work. It names no version and no date.
Reported, not confirmed: in February 2026, days after Seedance 2.0 launched, posts on Chinese social media described a Seedance 3.0 with single takes over 10 minutes, a "narrative memory" that carries characters across scenes, lip-sync in several languages and about one-eighth of 2.0's cost per minute. NDTV Profit wrote up the claims on February 17, 2026. ByteDance never confirmed them, and the model it released next, 2.5, makes 30-second clips that can be extended.
Timing: Seedance 1.5 pro came out on December 16, 2025, 2.0 about two months later, and 2.5 about five and a half months after that. Read that as history, not a forecast. ByteDance has used half steps before, so the next model might be another 2.x rather than 3.0.
What we'll do: as soon as Seedance 3 is available through our API provider, we add it to the model menu on Seedance 3 AI, with its price per second shown before you generate. Until then, the generator above runs Seedance 2.5: 4 to 30 seconds per clip at 480P, 720P or 1080P, with sound, from a prompt, frames or references.

No. As of November 2, 2026, ByteDance hasn't released or announced it. Seedance 2.5, from July 31, 2026, is the newest version.
There isn't one. ByteDance hasn't published a date, so any site quoting a specific day is guessing. We recheck the official pages and update this page when that changes.
Maybe not. ByteDance has shipped half steps before (1.5 pro, 2.5), so the next release could be another 2.x. Whatever it's called, we add it here when the API offers it.
Nothing is confirmed. ByteDance's only pointer is the direction named in the 2.5 announcement: more coherent stories, easier generation and editing, and better physics. Spec lists you see online are rumor.
